Synopsis
The Autobiography of an Ex-Colored Man written by Allison Francis, is a three-act play adaptation that evokes the music, imagery and energy at the turn of the 20th century in America. This play also examines the challenges African Americans faced as they attempted to navigate the politics of tolerance, acceptance and racial passing in the North and in the South.
