Our October 30th Wednesday evening guest speaker is Philip Kahue, President & Owner of Kuapo Consulting, LLC from 6 PM to 7:30 PM in Kieffer Hall Room 9. Kuapo Consulting, LLC, provides strategic and operational management consulting services to businesses in Hawaii.

 

Mr. Kahue held a myriad of executive-level positions for the Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies; a Native Hawaiian Organization Non-Profit and seven For-Profit Federal Government Contracting Companies.  He was also a minority owner in three of the seven companies.  During this time, he held multiple positions simultaneously as Executive Vice President of the seven For-Profit Companies, as President of two of them (at different times), and also as Executive Director for the Non-Profit Alaka`ina Foundation.

 

Prior to joining the Alaka`ina Foundation in 2005, he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army, with a specialty in healthcare administration and performed a myriad of duties in administrative, operational, and command positions.

 

Among his many military awards, he also received the General Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award for Health Services Command in 1992, and was inducted into the Order of Military Medical Merit in 2002. He also earned the Air Assault Badge and Parachutist Badge.

 

He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Hawai`i at Manoa in 1984, and his Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from Baylor University in 1995.
