Hogan Speaker Session with Judge Thomas Kaulukukui

Our February 8 Wednesday Evening guest speaker is Judge Thomas Kaulukukui, Trustee of the Liliʻuokalani Trust from 6 PM to 7:30 PM in Kieffer Hall Room 9.

Judge Kaulukukui was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii.  He graduated from Kamehameha High School and then from Michigan State University in East Lansing.  He obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation and then later a Master's Degree in Physical Education, specializing in exercise Physiology.  He also received his law degree from the William S. Richardson School of Law.  

His career started in the United States Army, to teaching at Kailua High School and then Wilder King Intermediate.  He was later selected from a national pool to be the law clerk to Chief Judge Samuel P. King of the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii. 

Judge Kaulukukui later relinquished his judgeship to work to improve the health of the people of Hawaii and became the VP of Community Affairs for The Queen's Health Systems ("QHS").  He also served as Oahu Commissioner on the Hawaiian Homes Commission and then was later appointed a Trustee of the Liliʻuokalani Trust.  He served as a board member for multiple organizations including the March of Dimes. 

The Liliʻuokalani Trust provides opportunities for Hawaiian children to realize their greatest potential-living healthy, joyful, and prosperous lives, while contributing positively to their families, communities, and the world.
