About this Event
Lonoikamakahiki is a season of giving and growing. This season honors the god of agriculture, Lono, who is recognized throughout the Pacific, and it marks the start of the Hawaiian new year as the constellation Makali?i rises at sunset. The Makahiki season is known for its rain, thunderstorms, and high surf. To celebrate this time of appreciation, peace, and pride, HLO will be hosting a potluck with dishes made by KK Matsuda, an HLO resident, so please join us at Hale Lokelani on December 7th at 6-8pm to support KK and to celebrate Lonoikamakahiki.
