Pope Francis has called not only Catholics but all people of faith and good will to "Share the Journey" with refugees and migrants. We have more than 60 million vulnerable sisters and brothers who are fleeing their homelands due to war, poverty, gangs and domestic violence. While Jesus says we will be judged by how we welcome the stranger, many governments throughout the world are turning their backs on these people.
Sr. & Dr. Donna Markham, O.P. will draw on her background as a psychologist, a religious and as the CEO of Catholic Charities USA, to share the intensity of the crisis, to inform of us efforts that are being made to alleviate the problem and to propose the work that local individuals and groups can take on.
Sunday, September 30 at 4:00pm to 5:30pm
