Have you ever experienced or witnessed a comment in class or at an event that felt dismissive, stereotypical, or uncomfortable, but weren’t sure how it would be handled? This interactive 90-minute workshop is designed to strengthen how faculty and staff show up for students in those moments.

Participants will explore what microaggressions and bias look like in academic spaces and how they impact student learning, belonging, and well-being. Through real-life scenarios, skill-building exercises, and guided practice, faculty and staff will develop strategies to respond in the moment; validating students, interrupting harm, and fostering inclusive dialogue.

Refreshments will be provided. Brought to you by the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs & the Office of Title IX
