  Freidenreich\, the Pulver Family Professor of Jewish Studies at Colby Col
 lege\, will be speaking about the historical and cultural context of the c
 urrent conflict in the Middle East. Dr. Freidenreich's teaching and resear
 ch focuses upon Muslim\, Jewish\, and Christian history and relationships.
  All students\, faculty\, and staff are welcome to attend.\n\n \n\n \n\nDr
 . Freidenreich's recent books include:\n\n \n\nJewish Muslims: How Christi
 ans Imagined Islam as the Enemy\n\n \n\nBeyond Religious Borders: Interact
 ion and Intellectual Exchange in the Medieval Islamic World \n\n \n\nForei
 gners and Their Food\n\n \n\n \n\nThis event will be held in Hale Hoaloha
